The presence of the CLM in the United Kingdom started with the arrival of a community of the Marian Community of Reconciliation (www.fraternas.org) in Manchester in August 2004. The fraternas arrived in England through the invitation of the Bishop of Salford. In their work, they seek to help in the pastoral of the Diocese at the same time supporting the growth of the CLM in the UK.

The apostolate of the CLM began at Saint Edward's Parish in Manchester where the fraternas started contact with adults, families and young people.
